Each Paper has tobe completed in 2 hours. So, time is an inevitable factor in SSC CGL although there is sectional time limit in Tier 1.

Quantitative Aptitude :

SSC CGL exam Tier 1 exam deals with arithmetic questions such as number system, profit and loss, time and distance, time and work, simple and compound interest while Tier 2 is more of advanced mathematics questions such as geometry, trigonometry, mensuration etc. SSC CGL notification gives a detailed account of the topics to be studied for cracking this section but the most important has to be given prominence at any cost. This does not mean you should stay away from other topics. Every topic has to be studied but always bear in mind the weightage given for a set of topics. Plus, practice is the only key to win laurels in this section.

SSC CGL English Language

Even a Postgraduate in English would find it difficult to find out right answers for Tier 2 level. This is because the questions are of high standard and only a grammar nerd can get the appropriate answers. At the same time, Tier 1 level is comparatively easier and are of high school level questions. If you have the habit of reading books, of course you can do wonders in the exam. English Language section is too predictable, and the difficulty level is almost the same every year.
